Populating Iberia there are diferenciated ethnic groups with their own dialects. Some of them are very similar while others are totally different, mainly due to the geographic distance of those groups (a native lusitanian can understand celtiberian, but not fluently. In comparison, latin was only brought by foreigners, and rounding 150 BC only merchants in Iberia knew that language, except roman citizens, roman descendants or roman conquered peoples).
Available languages in Iberia (at this time, History diferentiates much more languages than these. These are only the more relevant, excluding other minor languages very similar):
- Latin
- Cantabrian
- Celtiberian
- Lusitanian
- Iberian
- Turdetanian
Despite what was stated before, for the sake of playability (and also predicting future!), everyone will perfectly understand Latin. Thus, Latin is the common language of all the inhabitants of Iberia.
